The European Union (EU) Delegation to Egypt launches its annual photography competition for amateur photographers for the 12th year in a row. The competition is held this year under the theme “Description of Modern Egypt” in celebration of the 210th anniversary of the publication of Description de l’Égypte (Description of Egypt), which is considered one of the most significant books in Egypt’s modern history.

أطلق وفد الاتحاد الأوروبي في مصر مسابقته السنوية للتصوير الفوتوغرافي للمصورين الهواة للعام الثاني عشر على التوالي. تقام المسابقة هذا العام تحت عنوان “وصف مصر الحديثة” احتفالاً بالذكرى الـ 210 لنشر كتاب Description de l’Égypte (وصف مصر) ، والذي يعتبر من أهم الكتب في تاريخ مصر الحديث.
